Brookdale uses the Nutri-fit program devised by exercise physiologist, Rob Cowling – a unique composite, manageable lifestyle approach based on healthy eating, moderate exercise and stress management. This provides a realistic outcomes based method of embracing a balanced lifestyle.

HISTORY:

In 1989, Tony and Wendy Somers-Cox, your hosts at Brookdale, discovered the potential of this special place. The estate was intensively developed over a period of 18 months and opened in 1992 as Brookdale Health Hydro. Through the years, the facilities are constantly and unobtrusively upgraded to ensure that Brookdale remains leader in its field of health and wellbeing.

Through passion and commitment, Brookdale has grown from twelve rooms to twenty three rooms ranging from Standard rooms to Executive Suites. The realization of this dream has come with the opening of an indoor heated pool and wet area - too beautiful to describe. This complements the existing outdoor swimming pool, facilities and rest areas. A separate Day Spa facility opened during 2001 for day treatments with a similar facility in Hyde Park, Johannesburg.
