DescriptionYour friendly self-catering family Berg resort
Eland Valley Resort , located in the scenic Southern Drakensberg in the Underberg area, is situated at the foot of the majestic Garden Castle. The 150 hectare resort is bordered by the Mzimkhulwana Nature Reserve (KZN Parks Board) and the Mlambonjwa River (tributary of the Umzimkulu River).
Accommodation
The resort offers 14 modern self- catering log chalets in park-like surroundings. Eland Valley is the ideal getaway for the whole family, fishermen and nature lovers.
Each of the two-bedroomed chalets accommodate up to 6 persons (adults & children). We also have 1 bedroom chalets for couples. Chalets are fully furnished, equipped with TV and are self-catering and serviced daily by maids. Guests need only bring towels, toiletries and soap, food and beverages. Braai areas are available. A gas cylinder can be hired for a gas heater.

There are scenic walks and hikes for both the amateur and serious adventurer. Enjoy the many picnic and tubing spots along the sparkling river. Wildlife (eland, reedbok), guinea-fowl, wild duck and other birds abound in the resort. A golf course, convenience store and restaurants are available nearby. |

DirectionsIt will take about 3 hours from Durban (distance 235km) and about 6 hours from Johannesburg to get to us.
Take exit 99 off N3 onto R617 (Underberg). Pass through Boston, Bulwer, and Underberg.
Take DRAKENSBERG GARDENS RESORTS road- turn-off to right 4km outside Underberg before the Umzimkulu River Bridge.
The Resort is 24 km along this tarred road. |
